FAQs

What is BNB Miner FOMO?

An on-chain, round-based game where players compete for three prizes — 1st, 2nd, and Last Entry. Each round runs for 12 hours. Entries add to the prize pool and earn points; winners are paid out of the pool when the round ends.

How do I enter a round?

  • Step 1: Hire miners (about 0.1 BNB via the Hire button on the FOMO page). Eligibility is based on new miners since your last entry; the page shows what you need.
  • Step 2: Click Enter (0.03 BNB) to record your entry, add to the prize pool, and receive points.
  • Entries are unlimited per round (subject to the 1st-place cooldown).

How are points calculated?

Points decline by quarter, with a first-entry bonus if your first entry is in a later quarter:

  • Q1: 100 points per entry.
  • Q2: 80 points; first-entry bonus +100.
  • Q3: 70 points; first-entry bonus +180.
  • Q4: 50 points; first-entry bonus +250.

What ends a round?

  • When the 4th-quarter timer reaches zero, anyone can activate Check Round/Distribute Prizes.
  • If there are < 30 total entries, Check Round resets the timer and quarters while preserving all entries and points.
  • If there are ≥ 30 total entries, Check Round distributes prizes and initializes the next round.
  • Any new entry made in the last 5 minutes of Q4 resets the timer back to 5 minutes.

How are prizes split?

  • 100% of each entry goes to the prize pool.
  • At round end, 50% of the pool pays winners: 25% to 1st, 15% to 2nd, 10% to Last Entry.
  • The remaining 50% rolls into the next round.
  • If an address qualifies for multiple positions, the most valuable one is awarded; others pass to the next eligible participant.

Who wins Last Entry?

The most recent qualifying entry not in 1st or 2nd when the round ends.

How are ties handled for 1st and 2nd?

Ties go to the address that first secured the position. If you are tied on points with the leader, you must make another entry to overtake.

What is the 1st-place cooldown?

When an address reaches 1st place, a cooldown starts and remains until it expires or the current quarter ends.

  • Q1: 45 minutes
  • Q2: 35 minutes
  • Q3: 15 minutes
  • Q4: 5 minutes

How do I claim winnings and what if I miss?

  • Click Claim Winnings to receive BNB directly to your wallet.
  • Winnings must be claimed within 24 hours after they are distributed.
  • After 24 hours, anyone can use Reallocate Unclaimed Prizes to return unclaimed BNB to the prize pool.

Do donations earn points or entries?

  • No. Donations increase the prize pool but do not earn points, entries, or miners.
  • Donations are capped at 0.5 BNB per round per address.
  • Donations grant a free early allocation to XBOT at a 1:1 rate for the BNB donated.

Do FOMO entries or donations pay referrals?

No. Referrals apply to hiring miners in the Original BNB Miner (including when using the FOMO page’s Hire button).

What does the Hire step do in FOMO?

It buys miners in the Original BNB Miner. To qualify an entry, you must hire enough new miners since your last entry; the page shows your requirement. The Enter (0.03 BNB) step then records your entry and adds BNB to the prize pool.

What about XBOT early allocations?

  • Each valid entry credits a free 0.03 BNB early allocation to XBOT.
  • Donations grant a free early allocation at a 1:1 rate.
  • Allocation programs may change at the official XBOT launch.

Is the timer and logic on-chain?

Yes. The timer is based on mined blocks and all game actions execute on-chain. Anyone can trigger the relevant actions when conditions are met.

Community Questions

Collected from community chatter and common on-chain game questions.

Eligibility & Entries

What actions qualify as “new miners” for FOMO entry eligibility?

(Hire on the main Miner page vs the FOMO page; compounds vs fresh BNB.)

Eligibility is measured on-chain by your miner count in the Original BNB Miner. The FOMO contract compares your current hatcheryMiners(address) to your last recorded count and requires you to add the number of miners equivalent to ~0.1 BNB (computed via the OG miner’s calculateEggBuy(entryBNBAmount, contractBalance) divided by EGGS_TO_HATCH_1MINERS), then records that new baseline. You can satisfy this by:

  • Hiring miners with fresh BNB (e.g., the FOMO page’s Hire (0.1 BNB) button).
  • Compounding (hatching) enough rewards in the Original BNB Miner to increase your miner count by the required amount.

Either method increases your miner count; the UI shows the exact miners required before entering.

Why does the required Hire amount change between my entries?

The requirement is denominated in miners, not BNB. The miner-equivalent of ~0.1 BNB comes from the Original BNB Miner’s pricing/constant mix (and the FOMO parameter entryBNBAmount). Your baseline also moves after each entry (we store your last miner count), so any miners you add in between reduce what remains. Result: the UI’s “needed” amount can change with market conditions, parameters, and your own activity.

If I try to enter without meeting the Hire requirement, what happens to my transaction?

The entry reverts (on-chain check fails: “Not enough new miners since last entry”). No entry is recorded and no points are awarded. You still pay the network fee for the reverted transaction.

Can I send 0.03 BNB directly to the contract to enter, or must I use the Enter method?

Use Enter (0.03 BNB). Directly sending BNB to the contract is treated as a deposit/donation to the prize pool and does not execute the entry logic (no entry, no points, no Last Entry status). Donations don’t earn entries or points.

Scoring & Timing

Can I earn the first-entry bonus more than once in a round?

No. The first-entry bonus applies only to your first entry of the current round (the contract exposes this via getUserDetails().isFirstEntry). Subsequent entries earn the normal per-quarter points.

If I enter near a quarter rollover, which quarter’s points apply?

Points are determined at the block time when your entry mines on-chain, not when you clicked. If your transaction confirms after the rollover, the next quarter’s points apply. In the last 5 minutes, entries extend the timer back to 5 minutes; the active quarter still governs the points awarded.

If a round has < 30 total entries and the timer resets, do my entries and points carry over?

Yes. When there are fewer than 30 total entries, Check Round resets the timer and quarters while preserving all entries and points.

Cooldowns & Limits

While I’m in the 1st-place cooldown, can I still enter to attempt a Last Entry snipe?

While your cooldown is active (see getCoolingPeriod()), you cannot enter again. The cooldown lasts until it expires or the current quarter ends. In Q4, the cooldown duration is the final-quarter cooldown (5 minutes).

Can I win multiple rounds back-to-back, or are there cooldowns across rounds?

Cooldowns apply within a round based on quarters. There is no cross-round cooldown in the contract, so back-to-back wins are possible if you qualify.

Are multi-accounts or team strategies allowed? Any anti-whale protections beyond cooldowns and the donation cap?

Contract-level: there is no address uniqueness requirement; entries are gated by the fixed 0.03 BNB entry fee, the 1st-place cooldown, and a 0.5 BNB per-address per-round donation cap. There is no blacklist in the live contract, and there is no off-chain restriction on multi-account or team participation beyond what the contract enforces.

Prizes & Claims

If I miss the 24-hour claim window, is my prize permanently lost?

Unclaimed winnings can be returned to the prize pool via Reallocate Unclaimed Prizes after 24 hours. Once reallocated, the original claim is no longer available.

Donations & Referrals

Do entries or donations include any dev/team fee, or does 100% go to the prize pool?

100% of each FOMO entry and donation goes to the prize pool. At round end, 50% pays winners (25%/15%/10% to 1st/2nd/Last Entry), and 50% rolls into the next round.

XBOT Allocations

Where can I view my XBOT early allocations from entries or donations, and when are they claimable?

On the FOMO page, the contract’s getUserDetails() returns your allocations. Each valid entry credits a free 0.03 BNB early allocation, and each donation credits allocations at a 1:1 rate. Claim details and timing will be announced with the XBOT launch.

Gas & Transactions

What are typical gas costs for Enter, Check Round/Distribute, Claim Winnings, and Reallocate Unclaimed Prizes?

Gas varies with network conditions and your wallet shows an estimate before sending. Roughly: Enter and Donate are lightweight; Claim is simple; Distribute Prizes touches more state and costs more. Use the wallet’s gas estimate and set a reasonable gas price if the network is busy.

If I call Check Round when conditions aren’t met, does it revert and who pays gas?

If the round hasn’t ended yet, the call reverts and the caller pays gas. If the round has ended but there are fewer than 30 total entries, the contract resets the round timer/quarters while preserving all entries and points; it does not revert. If the round has ended and there are ≥ 30 total entries, it distributes prizes.

What if BSC is congested and my Enter or Claim is delayed—how is fairness handled?

All outcomes are based on on-chain timing at the block your transaction is mined. During congestion, consider using your wallet’s gas controls to improve confirmation time. The “Last 5 minutes” rule is enforced on-chain whenever an entry is mined in that window.

Participation

Can smart contracts (not just EOAs) enter rounds and claim winnings?

The FOMO contract does not restrict to EOAs; there is no tx.origin guard. Any address (EOA or smart contract) can call enter with 0.03 BNB and claim if eligible, subject to the same eligibility and cooldown rules.
